‘Tis the sea-sun for shaker tags!

I have just realised I missed a post last Christmas… whoops! 🤦🏻‍♀️ Of course it doesn’t mean I did not celebrate the holidays, or craft anything. (As you can see in my previous post, I made this winter light dome.) I am a little more organised this time round, so as a double bonus, I am going to share a few pics of the glitter shaker gift tags I made in 2024, as well as the poinsettia gift toppers for this Christmas.

Since we live in Blackpool, the festive season here is a little unique as our town is actually a seaside resort. 🏖️ Christmas by the sea is reason enough to be merry, so I wanted to create something that would showcase that vibe and feature our iconic tower. 🗼 I’ll admit we get more salt spray and foam 🌊 than we do snow, but we have had quite a few white Christmases in the past! ❄️

These shaker tags were designed in Photoshop 🖥️, then printed on card and OHP sheets. To put them together, I used some double-sided foam tape. They had to be of sufficient thickness, otherwise the glitter or confetti would not have enough room to move around.

Here’s a little video 🎥 of our Christmas in 2024 featuring the finished products, along with some homemade tiramisu! 🍮

For this year’s Christmas craft project, take a look at my next post to find out how you can make your own paper poinsettias. 🌺
